Establishing Global Partnerships for the Implementation of UN SDGs
In early spring of 2019, the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation had an opportunity to discuss global cooperation in helping our neighbors in need around the world.

The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation Dinner Conference 2019, an international meeting for foreign diplomats to Korea, was held a third time, following two previous years. Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah, the directors of the WeLoveU, and diplomats to Korea from 16 countries attended the event, which was held at Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam, Seoul, Korea, at 5 p.m. on Feb. 18.

Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah extended her gratitude to all the participants and asked for their advice on human welfare. They applauded her when she said, “I hope through today’s event we can give hope, courage, and help to our global neighbors in difficulties such as environmental refugees, displaced persons, and the underprivileged.” Chairwoman Zahng presented plaques of appreciation to the ambassadors who had made efforts to help those in difficulties together.

The meeting proceeded with reports on the WeLoveU’s activities to achieve the UN SDGs in 2018, its partnerships to achieve them in 2019, and its action plan 2019. A video presentation showed the WeLoveU’s numerous welfare activities in 2018, such as community support, environmental protection, and educational aid, which were carried out to meet the UN SDGs, from poverty eradication to hunger alleviation and global cooperation. The diplomats praised the WeLoveU members who made disaster relief efforts with the mind of a mother, regarding global problems as their own, for example, floods in Japan and dam collapse in Laos last year. They expressed their support for the WeLoveU and hoped to continue to work with the WeLoveU as good partners in helping global neighbors.
