Undersecretary of State for Youth, Sports and Education in Cambodia, Sincerely Thanked the WeLoveU Foundation Honorary Chairwoman
On December 21 at 3 p.m., the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation (hereinafter the WeLoveU) donated 60,000 face masks in the conference room of the Cambodia Olympic Stadium. The officials from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (hereinafter the Ministry of Education) and the WeLoveU members sat face to face at a table covered with dark green tablecloths for the ceremony.
Undersecretary Bou Chum Serey expressed his gratitude to Honorary Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah and the members of the WeLoveU for their diverse and continued support, and explained in detail the activities WeLoveU had carried out so far.
“First of all, I give thanks to the WeLoveU Foundation Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah in Korea. Although she is not present today, she has continuously supported students in need for many years through the Ministry of Education. The WeLoveU provided school supplies to underprivileged students from at least five regions every year, and helped expand sanitation facilities and install water pumps. On behalf of the Ministry of Education, I give thanks again for helping Cambodia improve educational environments for students.”
Undersecretary said he would deliver the face masks to students in rural areas and education ministry members to prevent COVID-19.
WeLoveU Chapter Manager Kim Seong-jin said, “The WeLoveU members became one to help students finish their studies without worrying about COVID-19. We will continue working together to overcome this crisis wisely.”
Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in Cambodia
On that day, the Minister of Education presented a certificate of appreciation to the honorary chairwoman and the chapter manager for their donation of 60,000 face masks through the Undersecretary. After receiving the certificate, the cahpter manager greeted the members of the Ministry of Education and expressed his will to keep their good relationship for a long time. After signing an MOU with the Department of Education in Takeo Prvovince in 2011, the WeLoveU has been making efforts to improve the educational environment of Cambodian students. Most of the participants in the ceremony were wearing a light blue mask as if they’d decided to match together; it seems like they share similar thoughts since they had a good relationship for a long time.
Many mass media covered the donation ceremony. Bayon TV, Hang Mea TV, and the daily newspaper Kampuchea Tmey covered the ceremony in detail. The media intensively reported on the WeLoveU’s ongoing education support activities.
We make a promise to keep. When a promise is kept, trust grows, and the trust creates a good relationship. The support provided by the WeLoveU and the Ministry of Education through their good relationship will be valuable nourishment for more children.
