When love and support are put together, a cold winter withdraws
because the surroundings are full of warmth.
The members of the Eastern Chapter of the U.S. gathered their love and support
for children in need to help them overcome a cold winter.
Through “WeLo’s Winter Weather Clothing Drive,” the WeLoveU collected winter clothes, including coats, jackets, hats, gloves, earmuffs, etc. They delivered the donation to children under the age of 10 who could not prepare for winter properly.
November 13
The WeLoveU Community Center was crowded.
The eighteen children from ten families, who had been invited, were happy
to try on the winter clothes and winter gears that were donated to them.
After choosing their clothes, the children expressed their gratitude,
writing “Thank you, WeLoveU” on a large piece of paper.
November 18
The WeLoveU and the Manhattan District worked together to deliver winter clothes
and winter gears to 120 students of Adolph S. Ochs Public Elementary School.
The children were very happy to find a note with the cheering phrase
on the pockets of the donated clothes. Senator Brad Hoylman,
who was handing out clothes to the children, said,
“I’ve been deeply moved by the WeLoveU Foundation and the Manhattan District
who work together to help the children in need.”
November 30
On November 30, the WeLoveU donated winter clothes to 150 students of Michelle Obama Elementary School in Newark, New Jersey, and 80 students of W. B. Patterson Elementary School in Washington D.C. They wore the donated clothes that fit them well and shouted out loud, “We love you” to the members of the WeLoveU.
December 15
The WeLoveU donated over 960 winter clothes, including coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and socks, to Richard J. Daley Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois.
The donated goods were presented to 490 children.
The members delivered the donations to some children in person and shared the warm love of a mother.
The WeLoveU members wish that the clothes that were donated
to the children would warm their hearts as well as their bodies.
Although it was a small help, the members would be happy
if they could give the children a lot of strength and vitalize their daily lives.
The WeLoveU will share a mother’s love with more children
to increase the value of living together.
Please join the activities of the “WeLo,” who will work even harder in the future.
