On November 26, WeLoveU members and the employees of the design firm HDR
planted trees together at English Mall Park in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.,
to beautify the area and create a safer environment for the local community.
Eighty-five volunteers teamed up in groups of five to six people
and planted 18 native trees that are well-suited to the local environment.

Tree Species Planted:
American Sweetgum, Swamp White Oak, Sugar Maple, Red Maple, etc.
“It was a great day to help the local community with WeLoveU.
Today, many volunteers have planted many trees in record time,
and this will surely benefit future generations.”
Kevin P. Morrison Jr., HDR’s Senior Civil Engineer
Trees not only increase urban greenery and reduce carbon levels,
but also provide cool shade, enhancing the health of citizens.
Additionally, they contribute to crime prevention.
WeLoveU will continue to carry out Mom’s Garden Projects in various regions
to protect the health and safety of citizens through consistent environmental efforts.

P.S.
WeLoveU and HDR also planted 30 trees
at Ringwood State Park in New Jersey last year.
