On April 15, the Intl .WeLoveU Foundation donated 180,000 Nepali Rupees
(approximately 1,340 USD) to Shree Seto Guras Namuna Balbatika Primary School
in Itahari, Sunsari, Koshi Province, Nepal, to support the construction of a playground.

The school, which has 130 students, lacked a proper playground,
limiting the children’s ability to engage in physical activities.
Furthermore, with the road directly in front of the school,
there was a significant risk of traffic accidents.

The school had been trying to convert an empty lot behind the building into
a playground with support from Itahari Municipality, local government officials,
and private donors. However, a shortfall of 180,000 rupees (approximately
1,340 USD) for purchasing part of the land had delayed the project for six years.
WeLoveU has maintained a longstanding relationship with Itahari City,
dating back about ten years when WeLoveU foundation
built a bridge in Shree Junga Village after it was destroyed by flooding.
Upon learning of the school’s situation, WeLoveU decided to step in
and provide the funds needed to complete the purchase
and enable the construction of the playground to move forward.

The children were very happy to hear that they would soon
have a playground where they could play freely.
The school officials also expressed their gratitude for the support.

Panalal Chaudhary, School Director

“Today, we received the donation from WeLoveU to fund the construction of our playground. I am deeply grateful to Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah for helping us purchase the land for the playground. This support will be of great help to our students.”

Panalal Chaudhary, School Director

Lakshmi Chaudhary, School Principal

“On behalf of the entire school community, I would like to thank WeLoveU. Thanks to your support, the children here, who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, will not lose their access to the light of education. Since our school is right next to a road, the students are at a high risk of traffic accidents, and we have long needed a safe space for their activities. The playground will greatly enhance the students’ physical development and allow us to hold more school activities. Thank you so much.”

Lakshmi Chaudhary, School Principal

WeLoveU hopes the children will run and play joyfully on their new playground, paving the way for a bright and healthy future.
