In Chicago, where there are many high-rise buildings, the wind blows fiercely
between the buildings. This is why Chicago is called the “Windy City.”

In winter, the wind gets harsher. The children come to school fully dressed.
However, there are also children who cannot afford warm clothes
due to financial difficulties.

On November 19, members from the Chicago Chapter of the Intl. WeLoveU
Foundation visited Henry H. Nash Elementary School,
bringing warm winter coats for the children.

Hearing the news, the children put balloons in the auditorium
and prepared letters of thanks to WeLoveU members.

Finishing the brief delivery ceremony in the auditorium,
the children ran to the gym. Warm gifts were waiting for them there.

Smiling brightly, the children found clothes that fitted them.
Then, they were surprised at one more unexpected gift–a handwritten note
of encouragement that WeLoveU members put inside each coat pocket.

“When you smile brightly, other people will also smile.”“You are amazing!”

Seeing the students showing off the notes that they received,
the teachers were moved to tears.

It was a day when the sincere hearts of WeLoveU and the bright smiles
of the children came together to bring an warm breeze to the Windy City.

From October 15 to November 15, 2021, WeLoveU collected 600 new coats and
1,500 hats, scarves, gloves, socks, and donated them to Henry H. Nash Elementary
School and Benjamin E. Mays Elementary Academy in Chicago.
