Provided 60 single mattresses and roofing materials to Paraguay’s National Emergency Secretariat [SEN]

Paraguay suffered damage from the gusts of wind and heavy rain during the endless fight against COVID-19. A residential area around Paraguay River in its capital Asuncion, which starts in the Parecis Mountains of Brazil and flows into the Parana River, suffered heavy damage due to the heavy rain on December 13 and the rain that continued from the previous month. There were numerous victims as a result, and the houses were damaged such as the roofs being blown off.
The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation members in Asuncion, Paraguay, set out to help Asuncion citizens who suffered damage to their houses due to the heavy rain in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally, the WeLoveU had planned to provide support for the prevention of COVID-19, but changed to prepare relief supplies for the heavy rain victims at the suggestion of Paraguay’s National Emergency Secretariat. On December 30, a ceremony was held at the National Emergency Secretariat to donate 60 single mattresses for the victims’ comfortable sleep and roofing materials to repair the roofs of their houses. The Head of Emergency Management Division, division officials, 16 fire-related disaster recovery workers, and 7 WeLoveU members attended the ceremony and had a meaningful time to reflect on the importance of helping neighbors in danger.

“Like the WeLoveU, we too deliver the love of a mother, the greatest love in the world”
The Head of Emergency Management Division Miguel Kurita said, “Like the Intl. WeLoveU, our important duty is to provide humanitarian assistance to the underprivileged.” He added, “Many people are suffering from natural or man-made disasters. The WeLoveU’s support is very valuable to those in need.”
A section chief at the Emergency Management Division said that he was grateful for the donation of the WeLoveU and politely said, “We love the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation.” He also explained that the National Emergency Secretariat was founded by a woman and, like the WeLoveU, is characterized for delivering the love of a mother, the greatest love in the world. “We try to convey the love of a mother when providing support to citizens,” he added.
The power of a mother’s love is equally expressed everywhere in the world. It comforts and embraces the hearts of those who are in crisis and difficulties. They know this, so they too try to convey the love of a mother when they work for the safety and life of citizens. The WeLoveU members once again resolved to continue to do good deeds and spread the love of a mother to neighbors around the world.
