📍 Flagtown Park in Hillsborough, NJ
📍 836 Marine Rd, El Sobrante, CA

On May 7, the Mom’s Garden Project took place at Flagtown Park in Hillsborough, NJ,
and at the open space on 836 Marine Rd, El Sobrante, CA.

At Flagtown Park, WeLoveU members and families of Amazon,
a global e-commerce company, planted 50 trees, including maple and birch trees.
They also beautified the park by painting worn-out facilities. Amazon contributed
10,000 USD to support WeLoveU’s ongoing environmental protection activities.

At the open space on 836 Marine Rd, where weeds were overgrown, 60 birch tree saplings were planted. Members dug through the tough soil with shovels, planting trees with the hope that they would grow large and healthy, creating a beloved retreat for the local community.

“I didn’t know much about WeLoveU before attending the event,
but while working together, I felt a desire to work with WeLoveU.”

Andrew Zwicker, a Senator in New Jersey

📍 Dongnak Park, Gumi
📍 Citizen Park Rd, Busanjin-gu, Busan

On the same day, at Dongnak Park in Gumi, over 300 WeLoveU members
and their families gathered to plant 150 cornelian cherry trees.
Due to the soil being softened by the rain the previous day, making it easier
for the children’s inexperienced shoveling, the ground was well-dug.

On May 11, at Citizen Park Rd in Busanjin-gu, around 250 members planted
6,000 azalea trees on the open space stretching between residential areas
and the road. They cleaned up weeds, removed illegally dumped trash,
and cleaned the surroundings.

“Planting trees is a crucial activity that helps prevent global warming
and passes on a clean and healthy Earth.”

Ahn Joo-chan, Chairman of Gumi City Council

government policy, WeLoveU engaged in discussion with Kenya Forest Service
Kiambu Branchand initiated the Mom’s Garden Project to address climate change.

On May 31, at the Upland Forest in Kiambu, more than 100 individuals, including
WeLoveU members and their families, neighbors, and Forest Service staff, gathered.
