On May 12, WeLoveU members in Chicago, U.S.,
held the “Mother Leadership” seminar
at South Shore International College Preparatory High School
to cultivate students’ correct values and a hopeful future.

Principal Michelle Flatt actively supported the smooth running of the seminar,
calling it a valuable opportunity for students. Ellen Rozelle Turner,
CEO of the management consulting firm William Everett group (wegrp.com),
led the discussion. The session was moderated by WeLoveU member
Kardia Michelle, who engaged students with thoughtful
and witty questions, fostering a meaningful and dynamic dialogue.

Turner shared that it was her mother who shaped her into the leader
she is today. Through her mother’s love, she learned to overcome challenges,
cultivate compassion, and develop passion for her goals. She emphasized
how today’s adults serve as powerful influences on future generations.
Encouraging the students—soon to step into society—she urged them
to dream big and strive constantly to achieve those dreams,
so that each of them may grow into an inspiring leader.

WeLoveU believes that simply being exposed to the stories and
experiences of leaders from various fields can greatly influence students’
visions for the future. It can motivate them to carve their own paths
and pursue leadership with confidence and courage.

We hope that the ‘Mother’s Leadership” seminar, which empathizes
with children’s struggles and encourages their dreams with a mother’s love,
can play even a small role in nurturing many future leaders.

P.S.

Supported by the Children First Fund(Chicago Public Schools Foundation),
a total of 510 people, including students, teachers,
and WeLoveU members, participated in the seminar.
