Various environmental disasters such as abnormal torrential rain, heat wave, snowstorm, drought, etc. are constantly taking place. As if to support such patterns, climate disasters are occurring in various places around the world nowadays.
In order to cope with environmental problems arising from climate change, the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation carries out the environmental cleanup movement on a global scale.
This year, in June and July, the WeLoveU continued its efforts to carry out the Clean WORLD Movement in 168 regions of 40 countries. Malaysia joined the efforts as well.
On June 10, about 180 volunteers consisting of the WeLoveU members along with their family members, neighbors, and friends, carried out a cleanup in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
As a result of cleaning a 4 km section of SS2 Street meticulously, the volunteers collected household wastes such as cigarette butts, paper cups, snack wrappers, and bottles, amounting to about 1,000 kg.

“This event was more meaningful as it took place in June, when the World Environment Day designated by the UN falls. Among common agendas shared by mankind, we cannot leave out the environmental problems. The Clean WORLD Movement is also aligned with implementation of the UN SDGs which the UN adopted in order to resolve environmental issues. We will continue to keep clean and maintain the earth, the habitat for humanity,” said the WeLoveU, regarding this event.
