Please receive cordial greetings from all of us in the Voluntary Blood Donation Department of the Guayas Provincial Board, Ecuadorian Red Cross.
We would like to thank you for hosting and providing cooperation during the voluntary blood donation campaign held in June 2019. A total of 92 effective units were collected, of which your institution will have access to 18 blood products. These will remain as a corporate benefit under the name of your institution for a period of six months following the date of donation.
In order for your institution to make use of these blood products, an official letter with the respective authorized signatures is required, indicating the beneficiary and the number of products to be delivered, accompanied by the corresponding medical order. I would also like to recommend that this benefit be used at private hospitals, since if the patient is hospitalized in public hospitals (MSP–IESS) or in a hospital where benefits from the Ministry of Public Health or the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute apply, the State will cover the cost of those blood products, and it would not be necessary for you to apply for this benefit.
