Resolution from Mayor of Huancayo Province, Peru

The Official Letter No. 002-27102022-WeLoveU-Peru dated October 27, 2022, from Mr. Hwan-yi Jeong, (Peru) representative of the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation associated With the UN DGC; the Report No. 400-2022-MPHIGSP-AGA dated November 10, 2022, from the Head of the Environmental Management of the Public Services Management Office

That Article 194 of our Political Constitution establishes that Provincial and District Municipalities, as local government bodies, have political, economic, and administrative autonomy in matters within their competence. This autonomy, as stated in Article II of the Preliminary Title of Law No. 27972 — Organic Law of Municipalities — resides in exercising acts of governance and administration subject to the legal framework;

That Municipal Ordinance No. 553-MPH/CM, “Municipal Ordinance Regulating the Recognitions and Distinctions of the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo,” aims to establish regulations for granting recognitions and distinctions by the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo. Article 3 of this ordinance specifies that the Mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo has the authority to define and grant awards and distinctions on behalf of the citizenry to national or foreign personalities residing in or visiting the city. Article 4 states that the presentation of such recognitions and distinctions must comply with Article 69 of the Internal Regulations of the Council (RIC) and the provisions of Mayoral Decree No. 20-98-MPH/A;

That the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation, with Ms. Zahng Gil-jah as its President and Founder, is a global social welfare organization dedicated to improving human well-being, bringing hope and happiness, transcending barriers of nationality, race, wealth, poverty, and religion. The Foundation WeLoveU (https://intweloveu.org/-es/) was approved in 2018 as an International NGO associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications (UN DGC), promoting the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 to ensure humanity’s survival;

That through Official Letter No. 002-27102022-WeLoveU-Peru, Mr. Hwan-yi Jeong, (Peru) representative of the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation, requests recognition for the voluntary social services performed in favor of our city, including activities such as “Blood Donation Campaign,” “Clean WORLD and Tree Planting 2021,” and “Clean WORLD 2022,” which are corroborated by Report No. 400-2022-MPHIGSP-AGA from the Head of the Environmental Management of the Public Services Management Office;

Recognizing outstanding achievements in any field is both appropriate and necessary. Recognition serves as a motivator and driving force, inspiring institutions and individuals to pursue new and improved activities. The current municipal administration is dedicated to encouraging and commending authorities, institutions, and individuals, demonstrating its commitment to addressing the needs and aspirations of the people of Huancayo. Such recognition motivates recipients to continue contributing to the development of our society.

That, in light of the foregoing, and in accordance with the powers established in subsection 6) of Article 20 of Law No. 27972, Organic Law of Municipalities, and the provisions of Municipal Ordinance No. 533-MPH/CM;

IT IS RESOLVED:
FIRST ARTICLE: TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND the “Intl. WeLoveU Foundation” for conducting campaigns and activities in favor of our remarkable city of Huancayo.

SECOND ARTICLE: TO DELIVER PUBLICLY this Resolution during a Public Protocol Act on November 22, 2022.
