Look at the sky.
Do you see a blue sky with puffy clouds floating by? When it is a sunny day
with a refreshing wind and warm sunlight, it feels even happier.
It is something that seems small but definitely makes you feel better.
These days, however, it is not easy to see blue skies in many parts of the earth.
It is because air quality has worsened due to environmental pollution.
Cars that we use for our convenience contribute to air pollution with fine dust and
exhaust gases. In commemoration of The International Day of Clean Air for blue skies1 on September 7, WeLoveU carried out the TayoTayo2 Challenge,
which was to use public transportation instead of driving a car
and to carpool with others for the month of September.
1 A world Environment Day proposed by the Republic of Korea and adopted by the United Nations to resolve air pollution.
2Tayo: A Korean word which means “to get on transportation.”
In particular, using public transportation can reduce not only fine dust but also large amounts of carbon emissions, which can play a significant role in protecting the earth against climate change.
We would like to share with you reviews from WeLoveU members who participated
in protecting blue skies and the keeping the earth green through the Challenge.

Every day, I ‘d been feeling somewhat heavy-hearted because of the continuous news of typhoons and wildfires due to climate change. I was thankful that I could do omething, though not much, for the earth by participating in the TayoTayo Challenge.

I felt proud that I was able to help in some way to lower the global temperature. It’s great that we can protect our planet by participating in the challenge.
I hope that many people will participate in lowering the global temperature. Let’s protect the earth together!

I took an eco-friendly bus. I could feel that many countries and organizations are making efforts to protect the environment by declaring carbon neutrality and eveloping eco-friendly technologies. I think people’ active participation will make it even better. I hope that all people from all walks of life will work together to create a clean environment, keeping in mind that we are all part of the global community.

For the sake of the environment, I commute by bus. Through the Tayo Tayo Challenge, I’ve learned that we can do something to save the earth even in our daily lives! I took pictures of my surroundings while commuting to work by bus.

The advantage of using public transportation is that you can see the blue sky and pretty street scenes. On my way to work by bus, the clear blue sky caught my eye. I thought it was good to take the bus. When I feel like getting home fast after work, I’m going to take the subway so that I won’t have to worry about being in traffic.

Autumn, the season with a clear sky, has arrived. I decided to take the bus instead of driving, which I hadn’t done in a while, and the weather was so nice outside. The breeze was refreshing and the clouds were beautiful. I love riding a bus in autumn.

It feels shorter when you are traveling with the people you like. We became one to create a sustainable planet by using public transportation. I appreciate WeLoveU’s activities to protect the earth’s environment with a mother’s love.

I took my child to her lesson after school by bus. It was nice to be able to look at the streets and have a lot of talk with her. I told her about global warming, explaining that our small actions can make the earth either sick or healthy. It was a fun and precious time to do something for the Earth.

I took the subway back home after spending time outside with my son. We were able to talk to each other more than usual. Since it is effective in reducing carbon emissions, I will participate in the TayoTayo Challenge more often.

It’s nice to carpool because we don’t feel bored. We can also protect the environment and enhance our friendship!

I used the subway with my friends! While participating in the Tayo Tayo Challenge, I naturally spent more time with my friends, and we were able to catch up with a lot of things that we couldn’t during the COVID-19 pandemic. I love taking public transportation with them. I will use it often from now on!

👍 What I Like About the TayoTayo Challenge 👍
Kwon In-cheon from Korea
I took the bus to go to the local hospital. I had been driving my car so long that I didn’t realize how convenient it is to take the bus. If you search for bus information by using an app, you can find out which bus will get you the destination the fastest and when the bus is expected to arrive, etc. I’ll continue to use public transportation whenever I get a chance. Next time, I’ll try to participate in “Let’s Carpool Together” Challenge.

I usually drive to work, but today I woke up earlier than usual to take the bus to carry out the Tayo Tayo Challenge. Since I got up early, I had more free time. It was also nice to be able to finish the work that I had to do that day early.
