More than 30 volunteers of the International WeLoveU Foundation, in partnership with Keep Alachua County Beautiful, planted 13 trees on Aug. 19 in the Greater Duval Neighborhood. The purpose is to protect and preserve natural resources by planting trees, which also reduces air pollution.
This effort is part of WeLoveU’s Clean WORLD Movement – a worldwide effort to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection in the face of climate change.
Founder and Chairwoman Zahng Gil-Jah established the international WeLoveU Foundation in South Korea in 2001 as a vehicle to deliver love and happiness to neighbors in need.
