Camp Crame High School in Quezon City faced serious concerns about students’ health because of outdated sanitation facilities. About 700 students, aged 13–16, shared restrooms in three locations: the main building, annex, and outdoor facility. The restrooms were old and deteriorated, with many broken fixtures that made them difficult to use.

Impact of Outdated Sanitation Facilities on Students

Outdated or broken sanitation facilities harm students’ health, interfere with their studies, and reduce their quality of life.

To ensure students have a clean and safe environment, WeLoveU, in cooperation with the Department of Education, National Capital Region (DepEd NCR), renovated the sanitation facilities at Camp Crame High School from June 11 to August 19.

Dr. Marife O. Talabucon, Principal II of Camp Crame High School, remarked, “The restroom renovation will have a positive impact not only on our school but also on the community. Our students are now safe from the threat of disease.”

I look forward to working together on other projects for the benefit of the students.”

Teachers and staff expressed, “We will keep the sanitation facilities clean and continue to pay close attention to hand hygiene education.”

WeLoveU will keep working to improve school sanitation facilities and promote hygiene education, helping students grow up with health and happiness.
