WeLoveU members hurry into the forest.
Where are they rushing to?

“We’re going to Bumbaeuisan Mom’s Garden to do some weeding!”

Three months ago, WeLoveU members planted pine trees, azaleas,
and lilac saplings on Mt. Bumbaeuisan, Bucheon,
where part of the forest had been damaged by illegal farming.
However, it was reported that dense weeds had grown around the area,
impacting the trees’ growth.

Can you see where the saplings are?

If you look closely,
you’ll find them here standing in their place.

The members manually pulled out grass that had grown
as tall as a person. For the deeply rooted ones, they used hoes
to thoroughly remove them down to the roots.

Compared with three months ago, the plants had been diligently
gathering nutrients and growing even among the weeds.
The azaleas had large leaves where the flowers had faded,
and the pine trees had grown to about the height of a fist.

Just as the Mom’s Garden on Mt. Bumbaeuisan
was restored through the attention and love of the members,
safeguarding and preserving the beautiful natural environment
requires many people’s continuous care and attention.

WeLoveU hopes that the Mom’s Gardens around the world
will become safe havens for diverse creatures
through human care.
