The roundtable discussion, hosted by
South Africa’s Department of Social Development, took place
on October 29–30 at the Cape Sun Hotel Conference Room in Cape Town.

The meeting, held under the theme, “Acting together to empower children,
their families and communities to end poverty,” brought together representatives
from the government, civil society (NGOs), and private organizations
to discuss sustainable livelihoods for underprivileged neighbors.

WeLoveU, having maintained ongoing cooperation with the Department of
Social Development, also attended the meeting to share various ideas on ending
community poverty and pledged continued support for government initiatives.

Relief Supplies for Tornado and Fire Victims in KwaZulu-Natal

On November 7, a ceremony for the delivery of relief supplies
to tornado and fire victims was held at the Newtown A Community Halls,
Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal.

Tornadoes and wildfires that struck KwaZulu-Natal in June and July
destroyed homes, schools, roads, and bridges, displacing countless residents.

In collaboration with the Department of Social Development,
WeLoveU provided essential food and hygiene supplies,
including maize flour and various canned goods, to 400 households
in the heavily affected areas of Inanda, Othongathi, and Umlazi.

The Deputy Minister of Social Development of South Africa,
the Member of the Executive Council for KZ and Social Development,
and a councilor from Ethekwini participated in the delivery ceremony,
expressing their gratitude for WeLoveU’s support for the victims.
