In the heart of winter, when harsh winds and snowstorms sweep across the land, a warm breeze begins to blow—a gentle wind that reaches into the hearts of neighbors.

From November 27 to December 18, WeLoveU supported vulnerable communities in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Daejeon, Busan, and other regions through the Warm Winter Support Project 2025. The organization provided winter supplies and kimjang kimchi, while also improving residential environments exposed to the cold.

Residential Environment Improvement That Blocks Cold and Fills Warmth

Older homes tend to lose heat more easily. Replacing worn and damaged wallpaper and flooring can help reduce heat loss. Upgrading old boilers to new, energy-efficient ones is also effective in improving heating performance. Improving substandard residential environments helps block the cold and bring warmth indoors.

Kimchi prepared with sincerity and care not only supports physical health but also brings warmth to the heart. Kimjang kimchi plays an essential role in sustaining meals throughout the winter season.

Members who participated in the kimjang activity said, “We hope our neighbors enjoy the kimchi,” and added, “We hope it helps them have a healthy and warm winter.”

Winter Supplies That Bring Warmth

Some neighbors hesitate to turn on their boilers due to concerns about heating costs, even when indoor temperatures drop to single digits during winter. Providing winter supplies helps ease the burden of heating expenses and delivers warmth more quickly, bringing comfort to both body and mind.

Kim Soon-shin, Director of the Administrative Welfare Bureau at Seongnam City Hall, Korea, said, “Winter is a time when low-income and vulnerable groups face many difficulties. As economic conditions have become more challenging, helping hands are needed more than ever, and we are truly grateful for the support. We will ensure that it is delivered to those who need it most.”

Lee Hye-jeong, Head of the Hope Welfare Team at Seo-gu Office in Daejeon, Korea, expressed her appreciation, saying, “Thanks to WeLoveU’s support, our neighbors will be able to spend a healthy and warm winter. The donated items will be distributed fairly among vulnerable groups in the district.”

Despite the cold winter winds, the warmth shared among people was stronger than ever. WeLoveU embers said, “Though our contribution may be small, we were grateful for the opportunity to support our neighbors through the winter,” expressing their hope that everyone would stay warm this season.
