Enliven Classes With Audio-Visual Support

At a school in Penang, Malaysia,
WeLoveU members are busy installing an educational TV.
They plan to visit six schools in a single day.

Schools located far from the city center often face poor educational conditions.
With limited government support, these schools rely on external assistance,
which can be difficult to secure.

After discussions with the Penang State Education Department,
WeLoveU decided to provide TVs for audiovisual education to six schools.
On July 3, WeLoveU visited these schools to deliver and install the devices.

When a large TV was installed at the school, the children were thrilled.
They gave the WeLoveU members a thumbs up, proudly saying,
“Our school now has an audio-visual room!”

On July 5, the Penang State Education Department presented a letter and
a plaque of appreciation to WeLoveU Honorary Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah,
recognizing her support in providing audiovisual equipment.

WeLoveU supports children’s big dreams by providing audiovisual equipment
that brings new energy and excitement to their classes.

Supporting the Construction of a Playground for Children

On April 15, the Intl .WeLoveU Foundation donated 180,000 Nepali Rupees
(approximately 1,340 USD) to Shree Seto Guras Namuna Balbatika Primary School
in Itahari, Sunsari, Koshi Province, Nepal, to support the construction of a playground.

The school, which has 130 students, lacked a proper playground,
limiting the children’s ability to engage in physical activities.
Furthermore, with the road directly in front of the school,
there was a significant risk of traffic accidents.

The school had been trying to convert an empty lot behind the building into
a playground with support from Itahari Municipality, local government officials,
and private donors. However, a shortfall of 180,000 rupees (approximately
1,340 USD) for purchasing part of the land had delayed the project for six years.
WeLoveU has maintained a longstanding relationship with Itahari City,
dating back about ten years when WeLoveU foundation
built a bridge in Shree Junga Village after it was destroyed by flooding.
Upon learning of the school’s situation, WeLoveU decided to step in
and provide the funds needed to complete the purchase
and enable the construction of the playground to move forward.

The children were very happy to hear that they would soon
have a playground where they could play freely.
The school officials also expressed their gratitude for the support.

Panalal Chaudhary, School Director

“Today, we received the donation from WeLoveU to fund the construction of our playground. I am deeply grateful to Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah for helping us purchase the land for the playground. This support will be of great help to our students.”

Panalal Chaudhary, School Director

Lakshmi Chaudhary, School Principal

“On behalf of the entire school community, I would like to thank WeLoveU. Thanks to your support, the children here, who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, will not lose their access to the light of education. Since our school is right next to a road, the students are at a high risk of traffic accidents, and we have long needed a safe space for their activities. The playground will greatly enhance the students’ physical development and allow us to hold more school activities. Thank you so much.”

Lakshmi Chaudhary, School Principal

WeLoveU hopes the children will run and play joyfully on their new playground, paving the way for a bright and healthy future.

Promoting Mental Well-Being in the Calming Room

During adolescence, many factors such as academic stress, peer relationships,
and family conflicts can lead to emotional difficulties.

In the United States, students face various stressors such as engaging
in economic activities to earn allowance, excessive school work, and more.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] reported in a 2021 survey
that 44% of high school students in the United States experience persistent
feelings of depression. Failure to properly care for the mental health of adolescents
can hinder their physical and emotional growth and may lead to various social issues.

WeLoveU has created a “Calming Room (Emotional Stability Classroom)
at University High School in Newark, New Jersey, to help students manage
their physical and mental well-being. The Calming Room is a special classroom
designed to help students enhance academic focus and cultivate
proper emotional health through emotion regulation and stress relief.

They adorned the space with soothing blue hues, warm lighting,
and potted plants, while providing comfortable seating and exercise equipment.
They’ve also stocked beverages and headphones so that students can relax at any time.

Calming Room for Emotional Stability

On February 29, a grand opening ceremony for the Calming Room
was held at University High School. Attendees included the principal, teachers,
WeLoveU members, representatives from the design company HDR, and officials
from the nonprofit organization Vivacity Tech, who sponsored the project.

During the opening ceremony speech, Roger Leon, Newark Board of Education Superintendent, emphasized the importance of emotional stability for both students and teachers.

On this day, WeLoveU commemorated the opening of the Calming Room
by donating 40 laptops to the school. Members hoped that students
would grow emotionally healthy through the use of the Calming Room.

Educational Support, a Precious Gift for Children

In the outskirts of Manta, Manabi Province, Ecuador lies a small village called
La Revancha, home to Cinco De Junio School, where children aged 3 to 11 attend.

A total of around 530 students, being divided into 9 classes, attend classes
in the morning and afternoon sessions. However, the school faced a shortage of
essential equipment like fans and bookshelves due to lack of government support.
Children had to carry heavy books to class and study in hot classrooms, sweating profusely.

After discussions with the principal of Cinco De Junio School,
WeLoveU decided to provide fans and bookshelves to the school.

On February 8, a donation ceremony was held at the school.
At the ceremony attended by education officials, teachers, and students,
WeLoveU members themselves installed 19 large ceiling fans
and 18 bookshelves in the classrooms.

Officials from the Ministry of Education and the school expressed their gratitude
by presenting WeLoveU with a plaque of gratitude for their educational support.

and support the dreams of children.

A Brighter and More Hopeful Future for Children

In the digital age, the importance of IT classes has greatly increased.
Consequently, schools are actively conducting IT-related classes to equip students
with computer skills and enable them to conveniently acquire information online.
Students also engage in various online activities to communicate with friends.

Au Cap Primary School, located on Mahe Island in the Seychelles,
is where 380 students study and nurture their dreams. However,
due to a lack of digital devices and the poor performance of existing devices,
the school was unable to conduct proper IT classes.

Upon learning about the situation at Au Cap Primary School,
WeLoveU donated four latest computers to the school after consulting
with officials from the Ministry of Education in Seychelles. At the delivery ceremony
held on January 24, education officials, members of the National Assembly, teachers,
parents, and students all expressed great joy at the computer support initiative.

Improving Academic Environment by Donating Chair-Desk Combo Units

“WeLoveU, thank you. We love you.”
Students from Las Piñas National High School in the Philippines
cheered, waving cards written in Korean.

Las Piñas National High School has over 5,000 students. Due to a shortage
of classrooms, classes are divided into morning and afternoon sessions.
Many desks are damaged, so students often use makeshift chairs
or place notebooks on their laps to write.

On January 10, WeLoveU donated 200 new chair-desk combo units
to Las Piñas National High School,
promising continued cooperation for academic environment.

The principal presented WeLoveU with a plaque of appreciation, expressing gratitude.
