Making Children’s Dream Sites Greener
WeLoveU members in Queretaro, Mexico,
arrive at Andres Balvanera Primary School with excited faces.
Today, they are making the children’s dream site greener by planting trees.

While the school was closed due to COVID-19, the garden trees withered,
and restoration has yet to be completed.
The Department of Education of Queretaro State,
which had plans to repair the school facilities and replant trees, reached out
to WeLoveU for assistance after learning about its Mom’s Garden Project.

On June 2, WeLoveU members carefully planted 50 saplings,
including glossy privet and pomegranate trees, which thrive
even in challenging environments and will grow tall enough to take care.
Officials from the Department of Education
and the Department of Agricultural Development of Queretaro State,
along with over a dozen children, joined in to help restore the school garden.

Parks provide relaxation and recreation while also serving as health facilities
that promote well-being. The trees in parks enhance air quality,
alleviate the urban heat island effect, and reduce stress, benefiting
both the mind and body. As a result, caring for parks
greatly improves the quality of life for local residents.
