With a mother’s unconditional love towards her children, WeLoveU carries out the Worldwide One-Two Blood Drive – a global movement of sharing life.

Blood donation is a noble act of offering love and donating life. WeLoveU hosts blood donation events and campaigns in each state to enhance the community’s awareness of the value and need of blood donations. Out of the total campaign participants, about 38% of them were eligible to donate their blood. We create a culture of unpaid blood donations by facilitating people’s participation in blood donations through an increased accessibility to blood donations.

What’s One-Two Blood Drive?
The meaning behind the name “One-Two Blood Drive” is as follows: A small action of love practiced by one person spreads over to two persons, four persons, and beyond, forming a virtuous cycle of good deeds that calls for the participation of all people in saving lives around the world. This movement reflects our love towards saving more lives of our global families through blood donations of everyone including you and me.

Medical institutions, volunteer organizations and experts insist voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation (VNRBD) is the safest of all types of blood donations. WeLoveU offers educational programs to help people expand their understanding of the value of life and voluntarily participate in blood donations. We improve the global community’s awareness of blood donations through on-line educational videos and blood donation seminars, etc. These educational programs are designed to encourage non-donors and one-time donors to convert to regular givers, and to improve the quality of blood through educational programs on general requirements for blood donation and health management.

One-Two Blood Drive PartnershipEstablishing Global Life-Saving Network

Global problems should be dealt with “altogether” at individual, country, regional and global levels. A life-saving network powered by collective intelligence is needed in order to provide patients with a safe and sufficient amount of blood. By hosting a global forum, we establish cooperative networks and build partnerships, thus promoting a mutual cooperation and complementary relationship.

“As long as there are patients in need, we are committed to sharing healthy blood with them,”Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah says.

Worldwide Voluntary, Non-remuneratedBlood Donation (VNRBD) Campaign

What

What's voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation (VNRBD)?

It’s a humanitarian action taken by a person who wants to help others by giving blood with his or her own free will.

  • 57 countries achieved 100% (or more than 99%) of their blood supply from voluntary unpaid blood donors.
  • In 71 countries, the blood supply is still dependent on patients’ relatives and paid blood donors.
    (Source: WHO, 2017)
Why

The Safest blood donation

“Voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation (VNRBD) is the safest of all types of blood donations,”
World Health Organization (WHO)

People who participate in voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation (VNRBD) look after their health proactively because they know quality blood can help save a precious life of someone. This is why VNRBD is the safest way of protecting the lives of people around the world.

Please take a noble action of giving love to others by participating in VNRBD, the safest way to help save lives.

How

Goals

WeLoveU supports the attainment of the WHO’s objective of 100% voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation (VNRBD) in ‘every country.’

WeLoveU is committed to implementing the One-Two Blood Drive, an unpaid life-sharing action, in every corner of the world until 100% VNRBD is accomplished.
