A vacant classroom with chairs and chores that seems to have lost their owners.
This was the library of Paranoa Education Center 2 (High School) in Brazilia, Brazil.
The lonely place where no one stayed has been reborn
as a decent library equipped with books, desks, and chairs.
A fresh mural also emits warmth to the space.
The WeLoveU heard the news from the Federal District Office of Education that the school library was being used like a storage room due to lack of government support. Hearing this, the WeLoveU has remodeled the library and donated books so that students can learn to their hearts’ content.
The members themselves made desks and painted the mural.
On November 17, the library opened after they put the donated books on bookshelves
and swept every nook and corner of the newly renovated library.
Upon visiting the library, the students rejoice, taking out books from the shelves.
“I give thanks to the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation for remodeling the library.
I usually like to read. So I’m happy to be able to read more books”.
Student Bianca (1st grader)
“I think it will help me get a habit of reading.
It will be of great help in nurturing youths who will work for a better future of Brazil.”
Student Jenifer (1st grader)
Education office staff and teachers who attended the opening ceremony were pleased,
expecting that the library would be useful for students to study and learn.
“I give thanks to Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah for supporting the renovation of the library.
Education, books, reading, and knowledge are essential in life. I’m deeply grateful to her once again.”
Regional Education Coordinator of Paranoa, Ranieri Carneiro Falcão
“I feel something is lacking if a school has no library. This library will play a very important role in our children’s school life. It will be a good opportunity for the students who have few opportunities to read books.”

“I was overwhelmed to see the students rejoice over the books, at the thought of studying in a good environment. I come to hope that if we consistently practice love through these volunteer activities, we will be able to resolve inequality in education and change the world.”
WeLoveU Member, Fernanda Rodrigues De Souza
All the WeLoveU members cheer for the students to create a bright and hopeful future by actively learning in the newly renovated library.
Adding a Story
The WeLoveU donated 210 must-read books for the students along with the library remodeling. At the opening ceremony of the library on November 17, Paranoa Education Center 2 presented the Achievement Award to the WeLoveU in gratitude for supporting the library.
